The Azov Baikal films Karate Boy “Possessing a unique formula of martial arts and the heartwarming story of a boy who was given a second chance”, brings compassion, love and determination to the film making industry. Filming on location in both Ukraine and Russia, Azov Baikal films cast children from orphanages to appear in their films. A director's dream cast with all children being paid for their time even though they are not professional actors. The children are able to select their own food options for meals, have learned English to communicate with the production crew, and have made long term friendships with the crew members. Karate Boy is a complete martial arts training system that teaches young boys moral values while teaching them how to become great martial artists. The program was created by Jason Blackmore, an 8th level black belt under Master Leonid Bogdanov. Jason Blackmore is the only person in the world who holds both a black belt in TaeKwonDo and in karate, holding rank in both systems of Jason is one of only 3 people who hold such rank (the third being Master Bogdanov). Master Bogdanov and Master Blackmore were Master Instructors in the Soviet Union and taught karate in Communist Russia. The lesson plans in the program cover values such as honesty, respect for others, respect for self, noble conduct and self control. The karate system that is taught to kids by Jason Blackmore is based on his own life story. As a young boy his family was forced to leave Moscow when the Communists took over. Jason was very close with his grandmother who wished to help him out of poverty so she gave him all her money when he turned 18 years old so he would no longer be a burden on the family and could become a good man and be self sufficient. The programs are based on the values taught by Master Blackmore and how he brought them to life. The lessons are broken down into three main areas. Ivan (a 12 year-old boy) is the main character in the films and he is introduced to Karate Boy at age 10. Like Jason, Ivan's mother was forced to leave Moscow after the Communists took over, his father was also there but died shortly after leaving Moscow. Ivan grew up with his beloved grandmother who had no family of her own and raised him like her son. Ivan's grandma was a devout Catholic who taught him to love God, serve God and be obedient to God. Being taught by his grandmother Ivan is able to pass on her values to his son Ivan. This makes him the perfect role model for the children of orphanages that are being introduced to Karate Boy. Jason Blackmore is also a hero in his own right, having survived multiple assassination attempts by ISIS, which has seen him personally responsible with saving the lives of over 300 people with his Karate/Black Belt skills. cfa1e77820
